As the Founder and Owner of Practical Preparedness, Timothy has dedicated over two decades to developing innovative strategies aimed at enhancing personal safety and crisis readiness in an ever-changing world. His extensive expertise in risk assessment and safety program development has made him a trusted figure for corporate enterprises, school districts, and real estate companies seeking to mitigate risk and ensure the safety of their teams, students, and clients.
Beyond his business endeavors, Timothy served as the Chapter President of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he advocated for responsible gun ownership and fosters a supportive community in safety. Jerry Bryant
Internationally recognized as an authority in the domain of Close-Quarters Hand to Hand Defense, Jerry stands as a paragon of excellence within the realm of martial arts. With a storied career spanning over four decades and holding the rank of 8th degree with the distinguished title of Shihan, Jerry embodies the pinnacle of martial prowess. His expertise extends beyond mere physicality, encompassing the philosophy, strategy, and ethos that underpin the martial arts tradition. His legacy as a master of his craft is etched indelibly into the fabric of martial arts history!
Andres Carrillo
Andres served in the United States Marine Corps at the rank of sergeant with honors. He spent eight years active duty as an 0311 Infantry rifleman with 2 combat tours to Afghanistan with 1st Battalion 5th Marine Alpha Company. Andres later became a formal combat marksmanship trainer aboard Hathcock Rifle Range at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. He trained over 20 thousand Marines in their yearly rifle and pistol qualifications. He has also served two years on Reserve Duty in Oklahoma City with Fox Battery 2/14 Himars Company.
Alan Ellis
Alan Ellis brings over 35 years of distinguished federal law enforcement and security experience to our team. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Alan is a graduate of the prestigious Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Firearms Instructor School. His expertise extends to being a certified instructor in pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines, as well as active shooter response strategies and Oklahoma firearms laws.
Following his retirement from federal service, Alan dedicated three years to enhancing school safety as a School Resource Officer across three major school districts in the Oklahoma City metro area. Currently, he serves as a full-time firearms instructor and contractor for the U.S. Marshals Service, where he continues to leverage his extensive knowledge and skills to ensure operational excellence and public safety.
Cole
Cole is a combat veteran with over 22 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he gained extensive experience in threat assessments, security, and tactical operations. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, earning the Bronze Star Medal (with Combat V) for valor and the Purple Heart Medal for injuries sustained in combat. His leadership in high-stakes environments includes overseeing personnel accountability and force protection across large operational areas, advising commanders on security and intelligence, and conducting tactical site exploitation. Cole’s role in managing complex operations, including daily security patrols and strategic defense measures, has honed his ability to assess and mitigate threats effectively in dynamic and hostile environments.
Lenon Williams
Lenon is a highly experienced executive protection and threat mitigation expert with over 25 years in law enforcement and private security. Holding Masters degree in Psychology and Education, he brings a unique blend of psychological insight and strategic security expertise to his work with high-net-worth individuals, CEOs, and political figures. Lenon has a proven track record in providing tailored protection solutions, having worked in high-stakes environments such as the oil and gas industry.
