"It is important to note that the inclusion of concealed weapons training is subject to (HB2588) and regulations. Participants must adhere to all applicable laws and obtain the necessary permits and training before carrying concealed weapons in any educational setting. Furthermore, the decision to carry a concealed weapon should be made with careful consideration and in consultation with the school district and relevant authorities".
Topics covered are:
Developing an emergency response plan for the classroom (Active Threat Training - Escape, Avoid, Hide, and Defend)
Foundation of Emergency First Aid & Trauma
De-escalation - These techniques will assist in effective verbal and non-verbal communications under stress
Knowing the difference between "reasonable force" and "deadly force", plus the legalities and state laws of defending yourself and others
Responsible Firearm Stewardship: Defense fundamental drills will go over how to draw from concealment, Firearms handling methods, Defense Spray handling, (All defense tools used in this course are non-lethal plastic demonstrator replicas)
